Our Story, our music

The FILMharmonic Orchestra was founded in 2003 in Prague and has since become one of the most sought-after recording orchestras in Europe. Born from the creative vision and recording expertise of MUSA, the orchestra naturally evolved from a passion for exceptional musical craftsmanship.

With extensive experience ranging from chamber ensembles and choirs to full symphony orchestras, the FILMharmonic Orchestra offers composers, producers, and performers a unique artistic partnership. Our signature sound is defined by the warmth of the strings, the velvety richness of the woodwinds, and the brilliant clarity of the brass.

Recording around fifty projects each year, the orchestra has built an international reputation for quality, flexibility, and passion — both in the studio and on concert stages across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Artists

The FILMharmonic Orchestra brings together leading musicians from the Czech Republic’s foremost ensembles, including the Czech Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra, and Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra. Their artistry has inspired collaborations with internationally renowned composers, producers, and performers from around the world — from Japan and Korea to the United States, Canada, Brazil, France, and Germany.

Artists travel to Prague not only for the orchestra’s exceptional musical quality, but also for the city’s unique creative atmosphere and recording tradition cultivated by MUSA for more than two decades.

Alongside its extensive recording activity, the FILMharmonic Orchestra regularly performs in prestigious concert halls across the Czech Republic and abroad. Recent performances have included concerts in Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Southern India.
